Enter into “Main Menu” -> “System Setup” -> “COM”, the interface is as follows. You can make your DVR communicate with COM device via this setting. DVR serial port only

have RS485 port. The RS485 is half-duplex for transceiver function. It can connect control keyboard and PTZ simultaneous.

l The parameters of RS455 are: Baud rate, Data bit, Stop bit etc..

l COM type: Define COM device type, have PTZ, COM keyboard and Tranparent channel 3 types.

l Baud Rate: Set the same baud rate with the COM device, if you want to connect PTZ or control keyboard, you have to set the same baud rate with PTZ or control keyboard.

l Data bit, stop bit, check bit: Set the data bit, stop bit and check bit according to the PTZ protocol code. Commonly, the PTZ protocol’s default date bit is 8, check bit is None,

stop bit is 1.

l Host address: When one keyboard connect with several DVRs in the parallel way, the keyboard is used to control and differentiate different DVR’s identify code.

l ATM protocol: Select default.
